Water cooler alert

What’s the bacteria count in water coolers? A Current Affair has done the testing and the results are shocking – it turns out that most water coolers are riddled with high counts of bacteria, including fecal coliforms and e coli!

It’s a good wake-up for anyone that owns a water cooler – best to get it sterilised and cleaned regularly.

Out of stocks and price rise in Coles

Coles have recently changed the layout of the water section in their supermarkets. Pureau has had a win as Coles has started stocking our 6x600ml bottle multipack. This is excellent news and means that there is now a “Pureau on the go” option for our customers!

But unfortunately, our 10 Litre cask has not fared so well in the re-organisation. Not only has Coles put the price up of our 10L up from $6.99 to $7.34, they have also cut the amount of stock that is on the shelves for purchase. This means that in many stores, our 10L becomes easily out of stock as the shelves are only refilled at night.

We are hearing reports from our customers that they are finding it difficult to buy our 10L in Coles. If you are one of these affected people, there are a couple of things you can do. The first and most effective is to complain directly to Coles, using their online feedback form here. The second thing you can do is to let us know, using our feedback form. We can then get one of our in-store merchandisers to visit the affected store and try to get more stock on the shelves.

We are very sorry that this is happening to our loyal customers who have supported Pureau in Coles over the years. Please know that both the price rise and the new shelf stock levels are completely out of our control. We hope that Coles will make some changes coming into summer that will see more Pureau 10L casks available for our customers, who really want to buy the product! With your advocacy and support, hopefully we can make this happen.

Blackmores Sydney Running Festival

We’ve very happy to say that Pureau is the official water of the 2011 Blackmores Sydney Running Festival on Sunday September 18th. The 30,000 odd runners taking part will all be refreshed with a bottle of Pureau at the end of their run, which finishes up at the iconic Sydney Opera House.

If you are interested in joining either the marathon, half marathon or bridge run, we have some good news – Pureau has a number of complimentary tickets that we are offering our customers. If you would like to participate, please contact us and we’ll send you the appropriate entry details!

Introducing the Pureau Easy Pour

We’ve just launched a neat little contraption that is going to make pouring pureau a whole lot easier! The pureau easy pour is a lever that easily fits on the nozzle of our 5L and 10L casks. Instead of needing to exert finger pressure on the nozzle, one simply has to pull the easy pour to dispense the water!

The easy pour is great for people with arthritis or hand dexterity issues, or kids. It especially works well if you put pureau in the fridge (the cold stiffens up the plastic making it harder to dispense the water).

We’ve already received some great feedback from people who have purchased an easy pour thus far. You can find out more about how to buy a pureau easy pour by clicking on this link.
